What equipment do you use?

I record with a TLM 103 mic, a MacBook Pro M2 and my Universal Audio Apollo Twin X interface. I also use Pro Tools Ultimate as my preferred DAW.

How much do you charge?

It all depends on your project! I find that everyone has their own budgets depending on what they’re working on - be it TV commercials, radio, film scores or music production albums. I’d be very happy to discuss fees with you. It all depends on what my vocals will be used for, your own budget and the duration it takes me to record it. Please do contact me and I’d love to chat to you about what it is you’re after.

Can I listen into the vocal session?

Yes of course! I can send you a link using a plugin I use called, ‘listento’. You simply click on the link I send you and you can listen straight into my Pro Tools session - with all the music and effects etc! I find it works perfectly paired with Zoom so we can also see and chat to each other if needed during the recording process. I do however do a lot of vocal sessions without anyone listening / watching in so if this is what you’d prefer, then that’s also fine!

How soon can you record?

I’m in my music studio daily and will reply to you within 2-3 hours. Depending on how busy I am, I generally record within a week or if you’re needing something recorded very quickly, the same day! I make my own hours and I always try and prioritise the most urgent and time sensitive jobs.

How do you send me your recorded vocals?

I send my vocals as dry WAV files and I will send them as a zipped file using WeTransfer.

Can I hear what you’ve recorded before I pay?

Yes! I always send my recorded vocals to you first, before I send you my invoice. I like to hear your feedback to make sure you’re happy with everything.

What if I want changes?

After hearing what I’ve recorded and you’d like to make some changes or you’d like me to re record something extra, I’d be very happy to, within reason. If it’s a mistake on your part, I may have to charge you extra, depending on how long it’ll take me. If it’s a mistake I’ve done myself though, then it’s completely on me for no extra cost.

How do I make a payment to you?

I take payments through direct deposit, (ACH) or Paypal. Depending on which country you live in and whichever is easiest for you. For all UK and European clients I can also take payments through my UK account with Wise bank.

Do you also do Voice overs?

Yes I do and I’ve been doing voice over work for many years! My new website for vbvoiceovers.com will be up soon! In the meantime, here’s my commercial reel, in both American and English accent.
